Victor Cruz suffered a sprained ankle in the second quarter of Sunday’s game against the Eagles and was taken into the locker room prior to halftime for X-rays and ruled out for the rest of the game.
Even prior to the injury, though, Cruz’s snaps were dramatically reduced by head coach Ben McAdoo in one of several changes the team made out of the bye. Dwayne Harris and Roger Lewis Jr. each saw playing time ahead of Cruz, with Lewis catching his second career NFL touchdown.
Cruz did get on the field to make a 46-yard catch on the Giants’ third scoring drive to take a 21-10 lead in the first half but was removed with the injury shortly after.
