Victor Cruz practices after missing Giant win with ankle sprain

Victor Cruz, who missed the Giants’ Week 10 win over Cincinnati with a sprained right ankle, practiced with his teammates on Thursday at the Quest Diagnostics Training Facility in his biggest opportunity of the week to test his injury for a potential Week 11 return against the Chicago Bears.

Cruz’s replacements, particularly Roger Lewis Jr., struggled in his absence.

Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie, Dwayne Harris and Orleans Darkwa also were practicing, while left guards Justin Pugh and Brett Jones remained sidelined. Right tackle Marshall Newhouse took over and played well at left guard against the Bengals with Pugh inactive and Jones injured early in Big Blue’s 21-20 win.
