It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas for Terry Collins.
The jolly Mets manager couldn’t be more pleased with the return of his big bat, Yoenis Cespedes, who signed a four-year, $110M deal to stay in Flushing.
“It’s a great holiday present for the Mets to know he’ll be in the middle of our lineup,” said Collins Wednesday.
Who says it’s better to give than to receive?
Collins and Mets fans hope Cespedes is the gift that keeps on giving, at least.
Collins isn’t the only Met who’s spreading a little holiday cheer as Noah Syndergaard and Jose Reyes both took to social media to trumpet the return of La Potencia.
The Mets will get to unwrap their gift at a 5 p.m. press conference at Citi Field.
