Odell Beckham proposes to Giants’ kicking net after scoring TD

Odell Beckham has taken his relationship with the Giants’ kicking net to the next level.

Beckham made a hot route for the net after sprinting into the end zone for a 66-yard touchdown reception — his second of the game — during the fourth quarter of Big Blue’s win Sunday over the Ravens.

The jubilant wide receiver assumed his now-weekly role as sideline entertainer, this time getting down on one knee to propose to the mesh cage. Beckham then thrust his bleached head into his betrothed, but earned an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty for removing his helmet on the field along the way.

Beckham first pursued the net this season during a Week 3 game against Washington, but he wasn’t in a loving mood. He threw a fit on the sideline after an Eli Manning interception and swung his helmet into the net’s post, which fell over and struck him in the head.

Last week, Beckham made amends by hugging the cage after scoring a touchdown against the Packers.

The 15-yard penalty Sunday was still costly to the Giants, who kicked off with 40 seconds remaining after taking the lead, 27-23. Big Blue, however, held on for the victory, keeping Beckham’s matrimonial bonds with his former foe intact.
