NFL makes Steelers WR Antonio Brown remove his Ali cleats

The NFL didn’t think Antonio Brown’s cleats honoring Muhammad Ali were the greatest of all time.

The league’s wardrobe police told the Pittsburgh receiver to remove the Ali-inspired footwear before the Steelers’ game on Sunday against the Jets, according to the CBS broadcast of the game.

Brown donned the Ali shoes for the first two series of the game, before switching to a standard black-and-white Nike cleat thereafter.

Two weeks ago, an NFL official had ordered Brown to change out of blue cleats with his children’s faces on them. Last week, he wore cleats honoring late golfing legend Arnold Palmer.
