Hair we go now.
The Yankees’ recruitment for Bryce Harper–who isn’t even a free agent until 2019–may already be under way thanks to a prospect’s haircut.
Clint Frazier, who was acquired from the Indians in the Andrew Miller trade, tweeted Wednesday night that he shaved part of his head. This prompted Harper, who has quite some flow himself, to ask to see it.
Frazier sent him the photo of the haircut with the caption, “maybe i can give you some hair pointers when you join the yankees in the future.”
A tweet like that will surely get you in the good graces of Yankees fans.
But Harper appeared unfazed by the insinuation he’ll be in pinstripes, and responded to Frazier that he should learn from his Nationals teammate, Jayson Werth.
“Ehhhh pretty good right there bro..gotta learn from JW with that mop!” he tweeted.
If Frazier does get called up next season he’ll probably have to take a little more off under the Yankees’ strict grooming rules.
As for Harper, he’s still got a couple more years left for a trim if he plans on joining Frazier in the Yankee Stadium outfield.
