Spurs vs. Warriors – Game Summary – April 16, 2018

At the half, the Spurs lead 53-47, despite another off-night shooting. The Spurs have brought up the shooting percentage to 40.4, but they’ve nailed all 12 of their free-throw attempts. LaMarcus Aldridge leads the Spurs with a team-high 17 points, and the team is actually 10-1 this season in games the power forward scores at least 17 points in the first half, according to ESPN Stats and Information. It’s clear Spurs coach Gregg Popovich made some major adjustments from that ugly Game 1 showing. San Antonio has fared well in transition defense, and it has found a way to disrupt Golden State’s tempo. Rudy Gay has provided a spark in the starting lineup with 10 points.
